Overview:

Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Remote Patient Services Coordinator- Transportation Team- Remote

This is a remote position: Remote opportunities available in the following states: Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming 

Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)

Work hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F

Job responsibilities:

• Processing requests for over mileage transportation requests/reimbursement/caregiver benefit in JIVA
• Processing food and lodging requests as related to transportation requests
• Coordinating with members to identify providers within the 50-mile radius
• Issuing authorizations or denials for excessive millage requests
• Coordinating with providers to obtain letters of medical necessity
• Scheduling excessive milage trips with transportation vendor

Education

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure

• None required

Experience

• Healthcare- Previous Experience REQUIRED
• Health Plan, Medical and/or Behavioral Health preferred
• Jiva or EHR/EMR experience preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Suite required

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is: $16.92/HR – $25.38/HR.  Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
