Knowesis is looking for a Medical Business Systems Analyst to support the mission of the Joint Trauma Analysis and Prevention of Injury in Combat (JTAPIC) Program. The JTAPIC program is a Department of Defense asset in support of the Executive Agent (EA) with responsibility to collect, integrate, analyze, and store operations, intelligence, materiel, and medical data to inform solutions that prevent or mitigate injury during the full range of military operations.  The Command’s mission is to responsively and responsibly create, develop, acquire, and deliver capabilities for the warfighter.  The work will be performed at the client’s location in Joint Base San Antonio/Fort Sam Houston, TX

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirements.

 

 The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  

  • Perform medical records coding to support requests for information.
  • Collaborate with JTAPIC Chartered partners to develop, track, and report request for Information (RFI), final products and deliverables for dissemination and storage.
  • Assist in project area planning and execution. Develop and execute detailed planning and coordination to deliver products timely and accurately.
  • Estimate and report product resource requirements to respective JTAPIC Deputy Director. Assist in the development of policy and procedures to achieve timely and relevant deliverables.
  • Generate project level reports, summaries, minutes, correspondence as applicable.
  • Serve as a focal point for project level deliverables. assure project deliverables are accurately integrated across all lanes of JTAPIC Program expertise (medical, materiel, operations, and intelligence) to provide the fullest context for the customer/deliverable recipient.
  • Transform project level goals and objectives into deliverables that inform decisions.
  • Identify and implement ways to eliminate or reduce bottlenecks and barriers to product development and dissemination.
  • Work with Government PO senior leadership and customers in developing project content.
  • Serve as a presenter and spokesperson to DoD senior military and civilian leaders as applicable.
  • Provide assessments of key accomplishments and their impact on project efforts and the program.
  • establish and maintain product files and provide technical and administrative support necessary to generate final products/deliverables.
  • Organize, facilitate, and participate in virtual and non-virtual collaborations (presentations, meetings, conferences, etc.) as applicable.
  • Assist in the development of the program plan elements objectives, mission, view, and general approaches.
  • Assist in the development of processes for integrating medical information with the proper operational/intelligence and materiel context.
  • coordinate with JTAPIC partners to develop analysis products, build specific datasets for analysis and assist with monitoring the JTAPIC data base integration process as required.
  • Provide Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) coding of injuries on an as needed basis.
  • Review, interpret, and extract injury data from medical records and databases in support of all JTAPIC project areas.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently and clearly to communicate with all personnel they will interact with effectively.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills and shall be highly detail-oriented.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possess sufficient initiative, time management, interpersonal relationship skills, and social sensitivity to relate constructively to various contacts from diverse backgrounds.
  • Be Proficient with the suite of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Access. 
  • Possess an Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) Coder certification or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess at a minimum an Interim SECRET at the time of in-processing, with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
