Electrician

Under the general direction of the Utilities Manager and within established Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and in accordance with applicable codes and practices, is responsible for the repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• Ability to operate and maintain all hospital electrical systems including: medium-voltage electrical distribution; equipment and systems controls and emergency electrical equipment and systems
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, access crawl spaces; able to work extra shifts, able to work in harsh environment, such as boiler rooms, mechanical spaces, crawl spaces

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• Massachusetts Master Electrician License
• Experience with high-voltage electrical distribution

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

License/Certification:

• Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License is required
