Are you looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families while enjoying a supportive team environment and work-life balance? The Northeast Health District is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Children's Medical Services (CMS) team.

In this role, you will provide nursing care, care coordination, and case management for children and youth with special health care needs while partnering with families and an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes. Whether you're an experienced nurse or a recent graduate, we encourage you to apply. Specialty experience in genetics, neurology, or pediatric care is not required—comprehensive orientation, mentorship, and program-specific training are provided.


Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Examples of duties

What You'll Do

  • Provide nursing care and case management for pediatric clients. 
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor client progress. 
  • Coordinate referrals, specialty appointments, treatments, and follow-up care. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, therapists, and community partners. 
  • Participate in telemedicine and pediatric specialty clinics. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with CMS policies and program standards. 
  • Support youth as they transition from pediatric to adult health care services. 
  • Participate in community outreach and health education activities. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing. 
  • Completion of a Public Health Nursing course within one year of hire. 
  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse license. 
  • Current CPR certification. 
  • No prior experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pediatric nursing, public health nursing, or case management. 
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Experience with electronic health records a
