Principal Associate, Process Engineer- FRM (Hybrid)

Join a high-impact team transforming Finance through simplified, standardized, and strategically aligned processes. As a Process Engineer Principal Associate, you will play a key role on a collaborative team that uncovers inefficiencies and drives streamlined process improvements to elevate how we operate. 

You will partner with stakeholders across Product, Tech, and Finance business teams, on high-visibility projects that require structured thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of operational effectiveness. You will map and analyze processes, identify gaps and friction points, and support the implementation of well-managed solutions that balance efficiency, control, and scalability. Many of the processes you will support involve complex stakeholder interactions and some technology integration, making this a unique opportunity to gain visibility and make an impact across the organization.

 

This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is energized by solving problems, and wants to shape how a growing team delivers value. You will apply rigorous process methodologies, contribute to scalable solutions, and build transparency into how Finance operates and drives long-term value.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end process improvement initiatives

  • Leverage Six Sigma methodology and standardization resources to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement

  • Partner with Finance business, Product and Tech teams to redesign existing or implement new processes that reduce manual effort, improve control, and increase transparency

  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and risk management frameworks

  • Document processes using tools such as swim lane process maps, critical-to-quality trees, performance metrics, control plans, RACI roles/responsibilities

  • Create clear process documentation that enables transparency, accountability, and ownership

  • Develop tools and templates that teams can use to drive consistent, high-quality execution

  • Identify potential risks and recommend controls and governance frameworks

  • Support deliverables and timelines by working iteratively, and adjust based on evolving needs and feedback

  • Evaluate finance processes from a risk management perspective across areas like General Ledger, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Capital and Liquidity management, and related activities

  • Keep abreast of financial industry laws and regulations and provide consultative guidance across stakeholders


 

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in process engineering, improvement, or design

  • At least 2 years of experience in project management

  • At least 2 years of experience in risk management (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, business risk office, credit risk management, or finance)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills

  • Background in financial services with an understanding of regulatory frameworks

  • Proven ability to work independently; flexible to change in a fast paced environment that requires the balancing of competing priorities

  • Process excellence certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, PMP, Agile)

  • Experience supporting cross-functional process design in collaboration with technology and business teams

  • Relevant experience in risk and control, operational excellence, or business transformation

  • Proficient with business process mapping, process documentation, and process optimization

  • Demonstrated experience improving operational effectiveness while maintaining or enhancing control environments

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
