About the role

Build a Safer World.

TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. TRM's platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. Leading agencies and businesses worldwide rely on TRM to make the world safer and more secure.

What this role is:

A builder role - you should have built and shipped complex production services from scratch, real traffic, talking to other services, in Python or Go. If your experience is mainly CI/CD, Terraform and monitoring, this isn't the right shape.

The impact you'll have here:

  • Own multi-cloud (GCP + AWS) at ~1 exabyte/yr, ~1M events/sec peak - cross-cloud routing, mesh + egress, security, standing up services, and writing real code

  • Build the self-hosted LLM inference + GPU orchestration for the investigation agents - scheduling, utilisation, multi-node serving

  • Write the broker for zero-trust agent access - agents never hold a real credential; secrets injected at egress (Vault), service mesh + scoped JIT

  • Hold single-digit-second API latency on batch-first storage built for analytics, not interactive queries

What we're looking for:

  • Production services you built and shipped yourself - real traffic, talking to other services. Not pipelines or tooling around someone else's systems

  • Strong Python or Go, not just scripting and automation

  • 5+ years operating production AWS and/or GCP - compute, object storage, IAM, VPC, load balancing

  • Hands-on production Kubernetes (GKE/EKS) and Terraform at scale

  • Deep with modern Linux, containers, web servers and databases

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Autonomous. You own what you work on, move fast, and adapt when goals change

Nice to have: Airflow, BigQuery, CentOS/Alpine.
