About this opportunity :
In this role, you'll act as the top executive responsible for overseeing the overall human resources function for Nitto Avecia and subsidiary companies. This role will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and administration of the company’s human resources strategies and programs, including succession planning, compensation and benefits, recruitment, training, leadership development, talent management, employee engagement, workforce analytics, DEIB, and employee relations programs across three sites.
The Vice President will establish long-range human resource strategies and practices for the organization to meet specific business objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements globally to minimize risk to the organization. As a key member of the leadership team, you will act as a coach to other member of Avecia leadership. This position reports directly to the president of Nitto Avecia and acts as a liasion to the North American regional HR and Japan Corporate HQ teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulatory requirements
- Define the company culture appropriate for each entity and ensure that policy, practices, and leadership actions are aligned with that culture
- Understand Nitto’s vision/mission and promote it within organization
- Select and develop human resources talent in each entity and ensure that succession candidates exist for each key position
- Management of all employee benefit plans for the entity to ensure competitive offering in a cost-effective manner
- Maintain key HR analytics and initiate counter measures when data trends outside of control limits
- Lead human resource related M&A activities related to the entities
- Lead key staff development and succession planning activities across the entities and represent Nitto Avecia entities across geographic and Nitto corporate boundaries.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree 10+ years’ experience managing teams of HR professionals
- Experience managing in a global, multicultural organization
- Managing remote human resources teams
- Experience in developing and delivering on all HR strategies including:
- Coaching
- Employee Engagement
- Compensation
- Talent acquisition and development
- Succession planning across business areas or region
- Employee Benefit plans
- Workforce analytics
- HR Systems
- Strong business acumen to contribute to the general management of the business
- Experience operating/interacting at the Board of Directors level
- Compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Ensuring that talent required for the business is in place to meet business growth strategies
