Job Title
Financial Reporting Senior SpecialistThe Financial Reporting Senior Specialist will have a crucial role in the company's financial operations, mainly focusing on the manual preparation of the consolidation and sub-consolidation of financial statements and supporting schedules under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP, consisting of four US entities and over fifteen subsidiaries and branches.
This individual will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of financial statements, including cash flow to ensure reliable and accurate financial reporting. This role will report directly to the Head of the Regional Tax and Accounting Center in the US and will be instrumental in supporting the finance department's goals and objectives.
In this role you’ll:
Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and supporting schedules under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP.
Be responsible for the maintenance, update, and reconciliation of the financial data in the consolidation tool.
Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on accounting and consolidation matters.
Coordinate audit process of the consolidated financial statement, interact with the auditors and manage the approval process of the audited financial statements.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and update consolidation procedures accordingly.
Proactively manage and analyze financial data during month-end closings, including profit and loss and balance sheet accounts, monitor postings on specific topics, recommend adjustments/corrections, if needed.
Participate in the preparation and implementation of a new reporting tool for Local Statutory Accounts and other ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by the Finance Management.
Be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in financial reporting procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Master’s Degree and or equivalent work experience.
CPA is a plus
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial consolidation, preferably in a multinational company
Strong understanding of accounting principles and consolidation techniques
Proficiency in advanced Excel skills (Pivot, macros, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
Prior experience interacting with audit processes and auditors is required.
Experience in SAP/4 HANA with BPC consolidation module is a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and multitask effectively
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work a hybrid work schedule.
