Sterile Processing Technician in Central Supply Unit at Providence St. Mary Medical Center Walla Walla, WA

This position is responsible for oversight of inventory controls for surgical and interventional supplies and materials. Works with Supply Chain adjust and implement supply par and bin location changes for new and existing supplies. Coordinates materials activities to meet the ongoing needs of clinicians in a procedural/interventional area.

Shift details: This is a full-time, 1 FTE (40 working hours per week), variable shift position.

Required Qualifications: 

  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire. Or, 
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associate's Degree - Business Administration. Or, 
  • Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration   
  • Coursework/Training - Successful completion of an education training course for Supply Chain Management or another course of similar subject content. 
  • 4 years - Inventory control, materials management in a computerized environment 
  • 1 year - Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem solving, organizational and customer service abilities with at least 1 year as a lead, coordinator or supervisor, with extensive knowledge of supply chain management in a healthcare organization
  • Supervisor or manager of Central Supply, Distribution Services or Warehouse departments in a healthcare organization

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
