Overview
The Director, Customer Strategy team provide subject matter expertise & leadership in support of entire National Accounts On/Off Premise Customer Sales Teams and will assist in identifying opportunities, making recommendations and building out tools, data sets, reporting and capabilities/training, that support overall NRS objectives and deliver category and customer growth. In addition, the Director will assume a Leadership role, managing a small team of Customer Strategy Managers, and/or by leading higher-level initiatives at the assigned account. Key Focus areas to support NRS initiatives Data Management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute the migration of new processes to the production environment
- Ensure timely communication of project status to leadership & stakeholders
- Looks for ways to create/improve efficiencies & opportunities for NRS and SGWS through technology
- Coding is a requirement to support and continue to innovate our solutions
- Contribute to team problem solving through findings and insights from analysis
- Develop hands-on knowledge and experience with advanced analytic approaches and concepts within management disciplines and help facilitate data integration
- Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry
- Explore Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning techniques to add efficiencies and elevate end products
- Responsible for training & development of direct reports
- Responsible for Tier II National Accounts assortment best deliverables
- Contribute to the continued pursuit of innovations; providing ideation to Sr. Director
- Create & deliver presentations via customer facing interactions; striving to build rapport with assigned customers
- Server management & systems administration of Mix servers; including but limited to access privileges, server health, maintenance, optimization, updates, backups, etc.
- Management the deployment process including timelines for all cross-functional teams involved
- Perform the maintenance and administration of development environment, data warehouse, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned and contribute to the success of the Customer Development / Space Intelligence, Customer Strategy Team and overall National Accounts department at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or related required
- Certification in Category Management preferred
- Minimum 10+ yrs Category Management experience within CPG sector. BevAlc experience preferred.
- Experience with category management principles, syndicated data, shopper/consumer insights and space management principles and software.
- Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team required.
- Travel 35% - 60% required.
