What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a High Voltage Manufacturing Engineer to join our YII Engineering team in El Paso, TX.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

 

What you will be doing:

 

 Advanced manufacturing engineering scope of work will include manufacturing process research, process feasibility study, supplier selection, initial application development, validation, knowledge transfer to production engineering.

Understanding the capabilities of the Busbar bending machine is an instrumental part of this position. We will need to understand the capabilities of the machine vs the requirements of our customers, and we will also need to determine what other types of machines are required to vertically integrate so that Yazaki can be cost competitive in this market.

Furthermore, the scope includes preparing the facility to install and use this machinery, which includes making sure the foundation can support the machine, making sure the correct electrical is available, and any other environmental (humidity, temp, etc.) and space requirements can be met.

 

What you will bring to the table:

• BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 7+ years’ experience in Robotics, complex manufacturing, equipment programming, quoting, general management
• English required; Japanese/Spanish is a plus
