Summer Support Assistant Supervisor - Misselwood Events (1)

Summer Support Assistant Supervisor serves in the role as liaison between Misselwood professional staff and summer support staff. The position involves administrative and hand-on tasks, as well as a component of mentorship.

Misselwood Events at Endicott College coordinates a full range of campus services that includes meeting space and special event venue use, dining, on-campus lodging, parking and much more. Our largest volume of external guests occurs Memorial Day through August. During the summer months we host adult/youth conferences, athletic camps, weddings, corporate social events, day meetings, concerts and the Misselwood Concours d’Elegance.

The support assistants that this role supervises, will work with the various campus partners to ensure seamless operation of the event program and event.

The position is a full-time seasonal position of 25 - 40 hours per week.

Job Description:
● Create and manage the support assistant weekly schedule
● Management of outside laundry service; scheduling pickup and delivery of linens, as well as processing of invoices.
● Manage the Key and Access Card Inventory
● Work with Campus Partners and appropriate program platforms for needs, such as Freshservice and Schooldude
● Ensuring the linen inventory is maintained
● Working with Misselwod Office Manager ensuring seasonal supplies are maintained
● Serve as professional staff for group check-in and check-outs, ensuring that
documentation is completed
● Serve as hands-on back up role for all aspects of support assistant role as needed
● Provide leadership and guidance to the summer support team, serving as a mentor
● Communicate effectively with the professional staff of the department on
documentation that is needed for events/programs.

Requirements:
1. Ability to lift 50 pounds; physical stamina and light to heavy lifting required for various tasks.
2. Capable of following directions and being able to work a varied schedule in a team environment.
3. Candidates must be detail oriented, professional, with strong communication skills, and successfully work independently.
4. Candidates must have a knowledge of Endicott College campus facilities and departments.
5. Able to work nights and weekends. Given the nature of the hospitality industry and team this individual will supervise, evening and weekend shifts are required.
6. Ability to represent Misselwood Events and The College in a professional demeanor.
7. Must demonstrate great customer service skills, with ability to anticipate customers’ needs.
8. Have a clear understanding of guest service and appropriate attire when interacting with guests. As well as appropriate work attire for day to day tasks.
9. Must have a valid US driver’s license
10. Preferred previous event/hospitality experience
11. Preferred candidates demonstrate a passion for hospitality, to include weddings, social events and conferences.
12. Work the Misselwood Concours d'Elegance car show the weekend of July 19 – 21, 2024
13. Available to work the annual wedding open house event on Wednesday, August 7, 2024
14. Able to live on campus during the summer
