The Team:
This is a newly formed tax team being established for the Spin Out of the Mobility Global division of S&P Global. You'll have the unique opportunity to join in advance of the spin transaction and help design foundational processes and the team's operating model. As part of a small, senior team working closely together, you'll contribute to building an innovative and robust compliance and strategic framework from the ground up. Reporting to: VP Head of Global Tax, Treasury and & Insurance Programs.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Lead tax compliance activities for the newly formed Mobility Global entity, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and international tax regulations
Design and implement tax processes, policies, and procedures to support the spin-out transaction and ongoing operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, and Operations to structure tax-efficient business arrangements
Manage tax aspects of the separation process, including entity structuring, transfer pricing, and regulatory filings
Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities
Provide strategic tax guidance to senior leadership on business decisions and growth initiatives
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification required
8+ years of progressive tax experience, including corporate tax compliance and planning
Experience in public accounting with Big 4 or national accounting firms or background with publicly traded companies and SEC reporting requirements
Proficiency with tax software and technology platforms such as OneSource, or similar solutions
Familiarity with ASC 740 and complex tax accounting standards
Track record of process improvement and automation initiatives in tax functions
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, including multi-jurisdictional tax issues
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Taxation, Law (JD), or related field
Experience with tax aspects of corporate transactions such as spin-offs, mergers, or acquisitions
Experience in building tax functions or processes from the ground up in a corporate environment.
Experience presenting to senior leadership, audit committees, or external stakeholders

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
