Who We’re Looking For:
Bethesda Systems is seeking a Technology Support Specialist who connects easily with clients over the phone and serves as a critical hub of organization and communication for our internal support team. This role requires a courteous, organized, and professional individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences in the smart home technology space.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the first point of contact for homeowners seeking assistance with their smart home systems
- Answer, screen, and route incoming support requests based on client support eligibility
- Perform basic troubleshooting using remote support tools
- Escalate complex issues to the internal support team or log them for follow-up
- Accurately document all support interactions in our ticketing system
- Guide non-member clients through available support options and recommend appropriate services
- Apply best practices for delivering high-quality support in the smart home sector
- Assist the internal team in maintaining response times and meeting critical service procedures
- Provide general administrative support for service-related tasks
What You Bring to the Table:
- A naturally friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize and build rapport
- Quick problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekdays and weekends (7:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. EST)
- Access to a PC or laptop with at least 4 GB RAM, a 2 GHz dual-core processor, webcam, and speakers
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
Preferred but Not Required:
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), communication tools (Slack, Office 365), and soft phone systems
- Experience with smart home technology
Compensation:
- $12 USD per hour / 40 hours per week
- Payment will be processed according to the terms of your contract agreement
- Training will be provided
