Purpose: The Nursing Administrative Assistant will align his/her scope of work with Jawonio’s Mission, while incorporating Jawonio’s Core Values as the guiding principle for all work activities.
Summary: The Nursing Administrative Assistant is responsible for tracking data entry and oversight of health-related databases. He/she will perform routine clerical activities that support quality of care within the Nursing department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Data Entry into Precision Care, Demographics, Allergies, Provider Information, Uploading Consults etc.
- Updating & maintaining Advocate List
- Mass mailings to parents, families, advocates
- Preparing annual & routine consent packets
- Perform Fit Testing in NEO & annually
- Data entry and maintenance of Fit Testing database
- Data entry AMAP/Ostomy/G-tube & Diabetes databases
- Preparing training materials & assisting Nursing with health-related trainings.
- Maintaining attendance sheets and grade rosters for trainings
- Creating certification paperwork for AMAP/Ostomy/G-tube/Diabetes trainings
- Printing scanning, filing and other clerical duties
- Pharmacy invoice reconciliation
- Arjo invoice & service contracts reconciliation
- Assist Nursing staff with clerical duties in the residences
- Update Nursing policy manuals as needed
- Update & maintain ER/Hospitalization database
- Monthly checks of AED machine
- Monthly check of Stop the Bleed Kits
- Medical supply inventory & ordering
- Taking attendance & minutes for various Nursing meetings
Must cooperate and participate fully with Jawonio and/or Justice Center and OPWDD during an investigation or inspection, including making verbal and written statements as requested by the person(s) doing the investigation
Qualifications
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Have experience with WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, OUTLOOK

Education/Experience: High School Diploma
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to consumers and employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
