If so, The International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) at Iowa State University (ISU) seeks applicants for an International Students and Scholars Assistant position in its Scholar and Employment Unit (SEU)!
What You'll Do:
Prepare Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) and related forms for international employees
Provide nonresident income tax information and tax return preparation assistance
Serve as back-up for international scholar and employee check-in sessions
Assemble information and documentation required to draft H-1B temporary worker immigration petitions
Participate in the development and maintenance of workflow e-forms and automated case management checklists
Maintain the SEU’s portion of the ISSO Website
Develop, distribute, and maintain resources for international scholars, employees, visitors, and their university units
Assist with assessment of the SEU’s programs and services
Manage the SEU’s dedicated e-mail address
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
About the ISSO Scholar and Employment Unit:
The ISSO Scholar and Employment Unit applies a broad range of specialized immigration expertise to bring international faculty, staff, postdocs, and visiting scholars to campus. We serve international scholars and student workers throughout their time at Iowa State University, as well as provide tailored immigration and employment guidance to the university departments and units that host and employ members of ISU’s international community.
