About the Role:

With new innovations and exciting expansion plans in place, there has never been a better time to join Ferrero and be extraordinary with us! Ferrero’s Chicago manufacturing plant is looking for our next Maintenance Stores Supervisor.

 

As the Maintenance Stores Supervisor, you will provide leadership, supervision and direction to Plant MRO Stores crews. Your scope will include responsibility for providing parts and supplies for the Maintenance Department, as well as production materials that are under control and secured in the Stores area. This position will also oversee Inventory Control and will guarantee all technical assets and materials management aspects for all Production Departments. Collaboration  with a broad spectrum of Plant Leaders, including but not limited to the Production, Procurement, Finance and Plant Controller, as well as external vendors and contractors in order to guarantee the efficient supply and turnover of resources.

 

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supports and executes Stores improvement processes and projects that improves the Storeroom operations and efficiency.
• Directs and leads the day-to-day Stores work and activities.
• Promotes “Safety” and demands it from the entire Stores crew.
• Supports and executes Plant specific Stores strategies to achieve Plant’s Key Performance Goals for overall Performance.
• Understands and strictly manages to the Stores budget.
• Needs to have in-depth working knowledge of the Plant’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Responsible for recognizing training and development opportunities within the Stores crews.
• Collaborates with the HR/LR group to ensure that the Stores crews follow all Company and Plant rules.
• Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate to groups on a regular basis.

Who we are looking for:

• A Technical BS degree is preferred in addition to practical experience (5 yrs.) in food manufacturing, packaging technologies and Project Management.
• This position requires a broad understanding of Storeroom Management, maintenance practices and manufacturing technologies.
• Requires proven Inventory Management Control experience
• Should have usable knowledge of typical desktop software packages, i.e. MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Excellent leadership qualities, communication, and management skills are required.
