Participates in goal-oriented research in the Materials Research Group, in the Electrochemical Energy Storage Department of CSE, under the supervision of staff scientists. Contributes to experimental design, conducts battery fabrication, electrochemical testing and analysis, and uses knowledge to examine and interpret the chemical and electrochemical interactions of these materials in cell environments. Compiles data in report format, publications, and presentations.
Education and Experience Requirements
• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Applicants must be:
o Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
o Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or
o Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, physics, or related fields, experience in energy storage materials, knowledge of electrochemical cells, knowledge of safe laboratory practices, good communications skills.
