We are a remote friendly, global team, but provide the option of working in-office in New York City, Sioux Falls, Porto, Lisbon, and Singapore. The mission of a Member of Global Risk Management, Trading Risk, is to leverage deep expertise in trading to manage and mitigate risks for a rapidly growing crypto business. In this role, you will act as a thought partner, enabling new business opportunities while maintaining a risk profile aligned with the company's risk appetite.
As a seasoned trader, you are expected to apply your expert judgment to solve unique challenges in the crypto industry, contributing directly to the company’s success. You will collaborate with various teams, providing insights and strategies to support business growth while ensuring robust risk management practices are in place.

Technical Skills
- Balance risks vs. returns by having a keen sense for market mispricings and the company’s capability to capture the opportunity or not.
- Understand the impact of market, liquidity, and credit risks.
- Knowledge of derivatives.
- Up to date on emerging business and market trends that their impact the crypto industry.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Know how to exit complicated risk situations under different market conditions.
- Work directly with quants to build tools that improve risk management and user-facing products.
- Design process, structure, and terms to mitigate risks.
- Think ahead, plan for contingencies, and develop solutions.
- Assess the creditworthiness of clients to determine acceptable levels of credit exposure.
- Assess the liquidity and volatility of assets to determine acceptable levels of market exposure.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Promote a shared understanding of the needs of Anchorage and its strategic direction.
- Ensures that knowledge is shared amongst the team.
Communication and Influence
- Communicates complex issues clearly and credibly across a wide range of audiences.
- Adapts the communication strategy to influence stakeholders.
- Able to negotiate favorable positioning that positively impacts clients and our roadmap.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- 8+ years of trading experience and has effectively worked out of complex trading situations.
- Ability identity market opportunities and mispricings.
- Negotiate with positive outcome.
Although not a requirement, bonus points if you:
- Drive to overcome roadblocks to seek answers and influence outcome
- Have positive returns in DeFi yield farming or meme coin trading
