<p>Colt provides network, voice and data centre services to thousands of businesses around the world, allowing them to focus on delivering their business goals instead of the underlying infrastructure.</p><h2>Short Description</h2> <p>Function: People &amp; Culture</p> <p>Location:  Belgium </p> <p>Working pattern: hybrid set up</p> <p>This is a one year fixed term contract</p><h2>Why we need this role</h2> <p>As a Senior HR generalist you'll manage, develop, and coach a team of HR professionals who support Colt’s employees, including the 85 staff based in Belgium and Luxembourg across various business units. Besides, you will provide operational and employee relations support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent and effective HR practices throughout our offices. A key part of my responsibilities also includes managing consultations with Works Councils, fostering collaboration and compliance in line with local employment regulations. </p><h2>What you will do</h2> <p>Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Supporting all functions of the business to achieve high performance culture.</li> <li>Provide advice and assistance to employees and managers for all employment related queries, with reference to, and interpretation of, local legislation, the employee handbooks and policies.</li> <li>Partner with business and HR stakeholders to provide support across all aspects of HR Operations to ensure that  business needs can be met whilst remaining legally compliant, and operating in line with best practice guidelines</li> <li>Lead Employee Relations cases including redundancies, negotiations and lay off</li> <li>Provide advice to colleagues on HR matters (including Performance improvements and local regulations)</li> <li>Lead on performance related matters and investigations including grievances, performance improvement plans and disciplinaries</li> <li>Manage extended sick leave cases, liaise with occupational health providers for advice, review recommendations and discuss course of action with line managers and employees</li> <li>Support the operational elements of all key people processes e.g. performance management, talent management, annual salary and benefits review</li> <li>Support the implementation of HR policy, programmes and business change management initiatives operationally</li> <li>Collaborate with HR Colleagues across all specialisms on the delivery of various global HR initiatives to drive business change</li> <li>Manage and approve monthly payroll submissions</li> <li>Escalation point for local pensions &amp; benefits matters</li> <li>Support executive level appointments and onboarding</li> </ul><h2>What we're looking for</h2> <ul> <li>At least 7-8 years of HR experience in multinational environments</li> <li>Prior working experience managing Works Council and re structuring projects</li> <li>Broad knowledge of all core operational HR tasks above all employee relations</li> <li>Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice in Belgium (Luxembourg can be learnt)</li> <li>Experience in other geographies outside of the remit of this role is strongly preferred</li> <li>Experience in documenting and improving processes, driving continuous improvement and challenging the status quo in terms of operational activities</li> <li>Robust, resilient, approachable and diplomatic style with the confidence to deal with challenging senior leaders</li> <li>A strong customer service mind set when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail</li> <li>Capacity to deal with a wide range of stakeholders with conflicting priorities</li> <li>Ability to meet deadlines and cope with pressure</li> <li>Able to demonstrate initiative, influence and problem solving skills</li> <li>Friendly and able to converse with people at any level</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning and analytical skills</li> <li>Strong project management skills, particularly with respect to organisation, prioritisation, and time management</li> </ul><h2>Skills</h2> Employee RelationsHR Policies and ProceduresHR Best PracticesRelationship Management<h2>Education</h2> A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or a relevant field<p><strong>What we offer</strong></p> <p>Colt is a growing business that is investing in its people.
