DevSecOps Engineer, Senior

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Software Factory Implementation & Sustainment CG-6 Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I), this is a key funded position as part of a strong Agile/DevSecOps team supporting requirements remotely out of the Washington D.C. area.

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Cloud/Software Developer, Senior will accomplish the following action items on an Agile team:

 

• Develop and maintain a cloud-based solution for a Software Factory.
• Work closely with other team members (including the customer) to demo and deliver solutions via short sprint cycles.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience in Software Development.
• 8+ years of demonstrated federal or commercial cloud development experience in AWS.
• Programming languages: Java, Python, Perl, and other scripting languages
• Applications/Frameworks/ Tools: Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Ansible, Nexus, SonarQube, Twistlock, Jira, Confluence, Mural, Maven, Junit, Selenium, Corestack, Kubediff/Terradiff
• Self-starter, able to work independently.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Clearance: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Coast Guard PIV and CAC to access USCG.mil sites

Desired Qualifications

• SAFe certification or equivalent
