Internal Job Title: Production Operator Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Danville, Virginia Work Model: On-site Applications Due: May 31, 2024 . Shift: 3rd Shift 10:30pm to 7:00am Position Summary As a Production Operator in CBN Secure Technologies Inc.'s Plant Operations group, you will be responsible for operating various types of machines, engravers and printers that are used to produce various secure polycarbonate documents (e.g., Virginia’s Driver Licenses and Identification (DL/ID) cards, passport data pages, etc.) CBN STI is a U.S. based subsidiary of CBN, a global provider of identification and border management solutions, currency and excise solutions, and lottery and gaming solutions that has been in business since 1897. - Operation of engraving, mailing, lamination, die cutting and polar knife equipment;
- Operates and monitors computer and equipment to meet production schedules;
- Troubleshoots minor equipment malfunctions and corrects as directed by machine fault or computer operations. Refers complex problems to a technician;
- Operate equipment according to specifications to produce customized jobs according to predetermined quality standards;
- Examination of printed product for flaws both visual and utilization of equipment (barcode scanners);
- Data entry of all information as required;
- Maintains daily log of all work processed;
- Verify inventory beginning lot counts with ending lot counts;
- Transfer completed production lots to the next processing step ensuring production reports are accurately completed;
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations;
- Ensure all consumables are available during production run;
- Crosstrain on a variety of production equipment; and
- Various other duties and responsibilities.
- High School or GED equivalent and 12 months of production experience in a high volume continuous operating manufacturing facility;
- Production background with experience operating a repetitive high-volume machine;
- Prior printing background/examination/inspection is an asset;
- Experience maintaining quality control charts and graphs, specifically knowledge of Statistical Process Control charts.

- Ability to work on your feet for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work a variety of shifts
