Medcor is looking to hire a full-time Registered Nurse to be an Onsite Health Nurse at our employer based, occupational health clinic in Milbank, South Dakota. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 10am-7pm with compensation of $40-$45 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you’ll lead health initiatives, manage workplace safety programs, and serve as a trusted clinical resource for employees and leadership alike. You will:

  • Provide first aid care and treatment by triaging an employee after an injury following our step-by-step care protocols, and supporting the employees with wellness, education and teaching.

  • Be responsible for the daily operations of the clinic, including ordering supplies and following compliance processes.

  • You will work collaboratively with the employers Safety Team and Human Resources, as well as working with medical providers at offsite offices such as urgent care and hospitals.

  • You will be working independently, with support available by the operations manager and other Medcor staff remotely.

A typical day in the life of a Medcor Onsite Health Nurse:

  • Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations

  • Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees

  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)

  • Build and maintain internal team relationships

  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts

  • Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety and environmental practices

  • Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues

  • Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools.

  • Pre-employment and post-offer screenings

  • Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)

  • Case management

  • OSHA record-keeping

  • General administrative duties

You Must

  • Be able to work independently and have good time management and organizational skills.

  • Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying and current BLS (AHA or ARC) certification

  • Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software

  • Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
