Medcor is looking to hire a full-time Registered Nurse to be an Onsite Health Nurse at our employer based, occupational health clinic in Milbank, South Dakota. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 10am-7pm with compensation of $40-$45 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
In this role, you’ll lead health initiatives, manage workplace safety programs, and serve as a trusted clinical resource for employees and leadership alike. You will:

Provide first aid care and treatment by triaging an employee after an injury following our step-by-step care protocols, and supporting the employees with wellness, education and teaching.

Be responsible for the daily operations of the clinic, including ordering supplies and following compliance processes.

You will work collaboratively with the employers Safety Team and Human Resources, as well as working with medical providers at offsite offices such as urgent care and hospitals.

You will be working independently, with support available by the operations manager and other Medcor staff remotely.
A typical day in the life of a Medcor Onsite Health Nurse:

Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations

Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees

Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)

Build and maintain internal team relationships
-
Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
-
Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety and environmental practices

Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues
-
Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools.

Pre-employment and post-offer screenings

Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)

Case management

OSHA record-keeping

General administrative duties
You Must
-
Be able to work independently and have good time management and organizational skills.

Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying and current BLS (AHA or ARC) certification

Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software

Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
