Are you ready to take your logistics career to the next level? Collins Aerospace is looking for an X-Ray Technician I to join our team in Fairfield, CA.

As an employee at Collins Aerospace-Fairfield, Safety is an expectation.  Employees are expected to work safely, follow all safety rules, requirements, procedures, and instructions always.  You are expected to actively participate in the safety program and be mindful of your safety and the safety of others.  You are expected to complete all safety training in a timely manner.

This position works 2nd shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

What You Will Do

• Perform X-ray inspection functions on manufactured parts following established X-ray inspection methods.

• Complete all necessary records to ensure compliance within specifications.

• Operate X-ray machine, developer, and densitometer after qualification and training.

• Demonstrate good safety working habits, including the wearing of radiation monitoring badges.

• Demonstrate the ability to follow X-ray technique cards proficiently.

• Work with engineering and rework personnel as needed.

• Able to work overtime as needed

• Must pass vision test and color perception test annually.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires High School Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working as an X-ray technician.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• N-Ray experience

• Digital X-Ray experience
