Senior Field Application Engineer Smartcard / Security Solutions (m/f/d)

<p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p></p>Be a technical champion for secure silicon solutions at an assigned set of customers throughout EMEA regions. Proactively work with sales to identify, develop, win, and execute new and existing business opportunities. Develop and build strong technical relationships with customer engineering and development teams in order to identify new technical industry trends and opportunities, ensure smooth design-in / design-win / qualification, and quick response to technical problems. Feedback to product planning, marketing and other teams in Korea about future trends and requirements about smartcard products.<p></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><b><span>Role and Responsibilities</span></b></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p></p><ul><li>Work with sales &amp; marketing teams to identify and win designs with assigned customers in EMEA regions.</li><li>Manage technical sales presentations, product roadmap updates, and trainings to customers.</li><li>Provide technical support to customers in EMEA regions and to the company’s sales and marketing staff</li><li>Take the lead in all customer technical requirements to ensure smooth customer product selection, evaluation, design-in, design-win, qualification and mass production; work directly with customer engineering teams, technical purchasing and factory teams.</li><li>Review customer specifications and determine present and future customer product requirements; interpret design, application and service information and provide feedback to marketing, product planning and application teams.</li><li>Active project management to maintain and communicate customer evaluations, design-in, design-win, qualification schedules and mass production ramp-up.</li><li>Provide quick response and resolution to customer technical issues and problems.</li><li>Review customer specifications and implementation and troubleshoot system compatibility issues and software implementation issues.</li><li>Coordinate PCN communication, coordinate technical activity related to quality problem investigation and resolution; ease communication between Samsung and customers’ Quality representatives.</li></ul><p></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><b><span>Skills and Qualifications</span></b></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>BSEE, with MSEE preferred, in electronics.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>EXPERIENCE:</b></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge in secure silicon &amp; smart card solutions in selected fields<ul><li>SIM / eSE / Banking / ID</li><li>JAVA CARD OS for Smartcard</li><li>MCU Software &amp; OS; Hardware development tools, ARM SC000, SC300</li><li>Hardware and software security</li><li>Cryptography (RSA, ECC, AES, DES, …)</li></ul></li><li>Minimum five years of design, product, test, system, and application engineering experience in described fields</li><li>Familiar with smart card dedicated <span>protocols/specifications</span> (ISO7816, ISO14443, …)</li><li>Familiar with certification schemes (Common Criteria, EMVCo, …)</li><li>Proven Customer support &amp; project management</li></ul><p></p><p><b>SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:</b></p><ul><li>Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with ability and affinity to respond quickly</li><li>Analytic and synthetic capabilities along a pro-active mindset</li><li>Must be well organized and autonomous and be able to plan according to the needs of customers and company’s teams (engineering, application, sales &amp; marketing ...)</li><li>Very good verbal and written communication in English and preferrably, also in French</li><li>Must be able to work well with other engineers, as well as with various people with various backgrounds and knowledge sets</li><li>Must be a team player in multi-cultural environments and be able to lead as well as be led.</li><li>Experienced with cross-cultural and cross-departmental project co-ordination</li><li>Expertise in C, assembly, embedded application design, security process</li><li>Presentations skills to develop a presentation and speak in front of others; proficient in Microsoft Office tools</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><span>* Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location, at: </span><a href="https://account.samsung.com/membership/policy/privacy" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span><span>https://account.samsung.com/membership/policy/privacy</span></span></a><span>.
