Job Description

Lead the Nordstrom Field Restaurant and Specialty Coffee Bar General Managers in all activities that enable achievement of the Restaurant Division Priorities and business outcomes.   Ensure Restaurant and Specialty Coffee Bar Managers are held accountable, receive productive Connect conversations, are effectively coached, and supported to achieve their priorities.  Partner with HRBPs to investigate, support, and follow up with all employee relations issues that occur within Restaurants and Coffee Bars.  Serve as the primary partner at Nordstrom for each of the Boka Restaurant Group Regional Directors in assigned geography. This role coaches, recruits, holds accountable, and mentors current and future leaders.

A day in the life…

• Serve as Manager for field employee teams in restaurants and coffee bars

• Partner with HR team to investigate and resolve employee relations issues

• Leads F&B Operations by working cross-functionally with both internal and external partners including BRG

• Lead, coach, and support accountability for Nordstrom Restaurants, Bars, and Specialty Coffee Bars in assigned geography​

• Partner with Boka Restaurant Group (BRG) Regional Directors of Operations to support achievement of Nordstrom Priorities and Financial Goals

• Analyze KPIs for assigned portfolio and actively support GMs in creating action plans to move their business forward.

• In partnership with BRG RDOs, Hold team accountable to KPI scorecard and leadership behaviors within the restaurants

• Serve as primary liaison between BRG Regional Director of Operations and Full Line Store Manager

• Plan travel schedule to align with BRG RDO and lead by example shoulder to shoulder support

• Be in unit 3-4 days per week

• Manage performance of assigned GMs in Restaurants and Specialty Coffee Bars

• Collaborate with Nordstrom Program and Boka team to build and execute Restaurant and Specialty Coffee Bars strategy

• Consult with assigned GMs to build unit level action plans to achieve plan outcomes

• Develop internal pipeline of talent for Restaurant and Specialty Coffee leadership roles

• Work collaboratively with all cross-functional teams at Nordstrom to support Restaurant and Specialty Coffee operations; including but not limited to marketing, events, visual, construction, facilities

You own this if you have…

• Skilled leader and coach with progressive management responsibilities with F&B and multi-unit operations

• Ability to model strong communication and influencing skills

• Experience with employee relations issues and partnering with HR in investigations and resolutions

• Ability to analyze financial outcomes and other KPIs to identify opportunities and build effective

• 5+ years experience in multiple F&B operations as a culinary or management leader

• Experienced and skilled in Microsoft Office suite
