- HYBRID – If you reside within 50 miles of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL this role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu), with the rest of the workweek spent working from home.
- REMOTE – If you live over 50 miles from Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL, this role is remote. However, occasional office visits may be required based on business needs, with advance communication for such requests.

Opportunity at a Glance
The Sr Manager, Alumni Engagement will directly manage an active and supportive community that strengthens the alumni network through volunteer development, alumni services, alumni communication and outreach, educational programming, and events with the goal of continuous and meaningful involvement and engagement of alumni. Reporting to the Vice President, Alumni Engagement, the Sr Manager, Alumni Engagement is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of progressive alumni engagement strategies that build enduring and mutually beneficial relationships, inspire loyalty and financial support, strengthen the institution's reputation, and engage our alumni in meaningful activities to advance those institutions. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational skills, including expertise in project leadership and relationship management. He or she will have a demonstrated track record of building and maintaining a robust alumni program and must have the poise and ability to build relationships with multiple constituents, influence action, and achieve results.
Responsibilities
- Implement a comprehensive and inclusive alumni strategy that engages alumni and creates rewarding experiences designed to foster lifelong connections between alumni and the institution.
- Develop and deploy activities valued by alumni, including event management, digital platforms oversite, and volunteer programs with outcomes focused on building relationships and brand loyalty.
- Work across functional areas to identify, recruit, and engage alumni in meaningful activities with students, staff, and each other to enhance admissions and student success and to advance the institution’s missions.
- Manage alumni engagement in the student experience, including managing online platforms for student mentorship and prospective student outreach and sourcing alumni speakers for student initiatives.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward alumni volunteers. Implement alumni awards and recognition program.
- Plan, organize, and help execute in-person and virtual alumni events such as alumni receptions, reunions, student events, campus visits, conferences, and graduation.
- Strategize, recommend and implement new tactics and initiatives to increase brand awareness and alumni engagement.
- Partner with global communications to share the story of our alumni community.
- Support efforts to accelerate the brand strategy by sourcing and leveraging alumni stories to showcase our global community of lifelong learners.
- Coordinate and support communications for alumni, including university announcements, eNewsletters, alumni stories and profiles, social media posts, and online community group posts and announcements.
- Develop and manage an alumni leadership council/advisory board; design the group’s objectives, host regular meetings (virtual and in-person), record minutes, and report on activity and progress to univers
