Experienced Structural Engineer to lead consulting and design of global high-rise projects

Then you could be our new colleague!</p><p>Join our global spearhead, High Rise, as our new Senior Structural Engineer and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future!</p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>As our new Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, overseeing complex structural projects, and shaping the future of our structural engineering services. Reporting directly to the Head of Department in our multidisciplinary High Rise team, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, which require a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking. You will be responsible for undertaking and overseeing work from the initial design concept through to detailed design, supervision, and quality assurance of structures. As a part of a global spearhead, you can expect to be working on projects across the Nordics and Europe, in sectors such as commercial, leisure and residential developments. </p><p>Your key responsibilities will be:</p><ul><li>Leading technical design of structures</li><li>Carrying out onsite supervision and quality assurance</li><li>Facilitating local and international collaboration across disciplines</li><li>Representing Ramboll at conferences and other events showcasing our work</li><li>Supporting the use of digital tools</li><li>Acting as a mentor for junior colleagues</li><li>Participating in in bids and tenders.</li></ul><p><strong>Your new team</strong></p><p>You will become a part of our global spearhead, High Rise, situated in our Buildings market. We are responsible for all Ramboll projects greater than 70m tall and have extensive global experience in project delivery from the initial concept phase to final completion and handover.</p><p>We are based in the Ramboll HQ in Ørestaden in Copenhagen but are involved in projects across the world. Examples of projects include: Bella Sky (Denmark), Lighthouse 2.0 (Denmark), Mindet 6 (Denmark), 2 Finsbury Avenue (UK), City Life (Italy), Marmormolen (Denmark), and Kaj 16 (Sweden).  </p><p>Joining us, you will become a part of a skilled team of professional building engineers, where collaboration is not only encouraged but essential to ensure success and continuous professional development.</p><p><strong>About you </strong></p><p>From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success. These include:</p><ul><li>Minimum 10+ years of experience with design of complex structures using European codes of practice. Knowledge of Danish building projects is an advantage.</li><li>Experience and/or knowledge and interest in tall building constructions.</li><li>Ability to develop practical solutions which contribute to the project vision.</li><li>International mindset and an ability to drive collaboration across construction disciplines, both within Ramboll and externally.</li><li>Good communication skills in English.
