Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Retail Manager oversees operations of a Food & Nutrition Service retail area including, but not limited to, customer service, training, menu knowledge & development, food quality, inventory management, safety and sanitation, financial management, cash register system, cash handling, human resources and scheduling.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• High School diploma/GED; plus 4 years of food service experience required, 2 years of supervisory experience required. ServSafe Certification preferred otherwise must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Self-directed, flexible and innovative
• Strong communication skills used to inspire confidence in coworkers
• Good leadership and organizational skills
• Must be able to work during Inclement Weather
• Must be able to work rotating Weekends and Holidays

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or a related field, ServSafe Certified, Certified Dietary Manager
