Reporting to the Sr. Director, People Business Partner, the Employee Relations Business Partner will develop, implement, and lead Spring Health’s Employee Relations program. You will also be the company’s HR compliance expert and drive People policy development in partnership with Corporate Compliance, Legal, and the broader People team.
What you’ll be doing:
- In partnership with the the People Business Partners and Legal teams, conduct investigations for behavioral/workplace issues in a timely manner, while applying appropriate investigative techniques and strategies with supporting documentation
- Create training curriculum and conduct appropriate training for managers and employees in overall manager best practices and performance improvement concepts in alignment with our company’s core values, practices, and processes
- Develop resources, tools and standards for employee relations, including employee counseling and engagement, documentation standards and practices, policy interpretation and application, performance management methodologies, investigations, reasonable accommodations, and responses to other sensitive work-related issues
- Develop and improve employee relations matters tracking and reporting to regularly present dashboard metrics to Spring Health’s senior leadership team
- Analyze data, identify trends in employee relations metrics and propose preventive solutions
- Leverage business, industry, current employee relations trends and rulings and internal metrics data to anticipate and prepare for potential employee relations problems and escalate issues to management in a timely manner
- Own Spring Health’s employee handbook, including the launch of a new tool and ongoing policy reviews
- Own and administer the reasonable accommodation process
- Coach and train other People team staff supporting internal investigations and or other employee relations matters
What we expect from you:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in employee relations role with an emphasis on internal employee investigations and training
- Experience implementing an employee relations program and practices strongly preferred
- Experience managing an HR and/or ER function across multiple states strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience with federal, state and local employment laws including, but not limited to Title VII, ADEA, FLSA
- Experience leveraging large data sets and presenting insights to inform business recommendations around employee engagement and risk management
- Ability to develop processes and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders of all levels
- High level of comfort working autonomously and recommending strategic changes
The target salary range for this position is $108,700 - $146,150, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
