The Position:

Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) is seeking an Analyst to join the Data Integrity Group within the Operational Strategy and Delivery Team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of market reference data across LMI’s core investment systems.

 

As part of the Data Integrity Group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of critical investment data, influencing strategic business decisions, and helping drive operational excellence. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing data quality through the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) tool, ensuring compliance with business standards, and proactively addressing variances. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing data workflows, refining processes, and providing valuable insights that improve operational efficiency. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally to align data management practices with evolving investment strategies across multiple asset classes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily management of security reference data, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and consistency across investment systems.
  • Proactively research and resolve data variances, implement governance decisions, and ensure completeness in data
  • Monitor data inputs, manage variances/exceptions, and ensure timely updates via the EDM tool.
  • Develop and execute quality control queries and reports to enforce compliance with data standards and governance policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to identify and resolve data processing challenges, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Partner with governance teams to align operational processes with data management best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by refining data entry processes and contributing to the development of control mechanisms.
  • Adapt data systems and workflows to support new and evolving investment strategies.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge across multiple asset classes and financial instruments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience working with Markit EDM platform (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Security Master applications and major data vendors such as Bloomberg, ICE, Refinitiv, and Markit.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with investment tools such as Bloomberg, Intex, BlackRock Aladdin, Markit EDM, and SimCorp Dimension.
