Job Description

The SAP Functional Analyst will execute and support IT change initiatives driven by the business and will provide project and change management support during IT initiatives.

Specific duties include the following:

• Influence IT solutions that support and enable business strategies and assemble and lead cross functional teams to implement IT solutions effectively and with quality.
• Apply knowledge of agricultural business and market drivers that influence an organization’s commercial and operational decision making, including: system knowledge of handling of dangerous goods – chemicals and powder and how to incorporate in IT solutions; US Dept of Transportation regulations; import and export process knowledge; Free Trade Zone processes; US Customs processes; customer screening and embargo for global trade.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate into accurate customer interfaces and experiences.
• Design complex integration solutions between Syngenta and its business partners for delivering seamless processing of business operations and leveraging the benefits of digital platforms.
• Ensure successful Information Systems (IS) implementation / transformation of business projects in the area of SAP business processes.
• Provide business process knowledge and support for clients across Syngenta.
• Lead IT solution design and fit/gap analysis.
• Manage the documentation of all IT change including requirements, process, testing and training along with the maintenance of their context in relation to the overall enterprise business architecture.
• Ensure quality assurance through test script creation, execution, business acceptance and promotion to production environments.
• Perform work using the following tools and technologies: SAP Sales and Distribution, SAP FIORI Apps, SAP Global Product Digitization Application, SAP Global Trade Services Application, Project Management, Agile Methodology, Scrum Tool, SAP Solution Manager Testing Automation tool, Winshuttle Testing Automation tool, SAP Test Scripting tool, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology, QLIK Reporting tool, Microsoft Access Database, Oracle Database Query tool, Rockwell Manufacturing Execution System, Transportation Management System, Service Now Incident management tool, MS Visio, MURAL Process Mapping tool.

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of related (progressive, postbaccalaureate) experience.

Must also have 36 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:

• Working in agricultural business and gaining knowledge of market drivers that influence an organization’s commercial and operational decision making, to include: system knowledge of handling of dangerous goods – chemicals and powder and how to incorporate in IT solutions; US Dept of Transportation regulations; import and export process knowledge; Free Trade Zone processes; US Customs processes; customer screening and embargo for global trade.
• Designing complex integration solutions for delivering seamless processing of business operations and leveraging the benefits of digital platforms.
• Ensuring successful Information Systems (IS) implementation / transformation of business projects in the area of SAP business processes.
• Ensuring quality assurance through test script creation, execution, business acceptance and promotion to production environments.
• Performing work using the following tools and technologies: SAP Sales and Distribution, SAP FIORI Apps, Project Management, SAP Solution Manager Testing Automation tool, SAP Test Scripting tool, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology, Oracle Database Query tool, Transportation Management System, Service Now Incident management tool, MS Visio.
