Oncology Specialist

Location: Madrid (preferable)

The Oncology team provides transversal support and knowledge on this field across the organization and is in charge of analyzing data and providing real world insights and recommendations to different clients in oncology arena.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Consultant within our Oncology team, your main objectives will be related to the following functions:

·        Understanding of client needs

·        Contribute to business development preparing proposals for low/medium complexity studies and providing support to senior staff in the development of proposals for complex ones

·        Perform a feasibility study based on the data available before preparing a proposal for a client

·        Design of the analysis plan for each project, based on client needs, data available, clinical knowledge and guidelines

·        Act as a project manager in the execution of low/medium complexity oncology projects, guaranteeing appropriate follow up with clients, quality and accomplishment of timelines. Work independently and as part of a team, with responsibility for supervising junior team members and providing them with direction and guidance

·        Analyze data, processes and results, and proactively recommend changes and solutions to innovate and improve the project

·        Validate the final report and/or scientific publication of the projects, ensuring consistency along the project and guaranteeing that the information reported matches with the specifications and expected outcomes, providing strategic insights or advice to clients

·        Presentation of final report to clients of low/medium complexity projects. Discussion of related questions.

·        Effective communication with the different teams involved in the development of the projects, as well as with clients in low/medium complexity studies

·        Attend client and other external meetings as appropriate

·        Support senior staff on specific business initiatives as required

Many of the functions will be carried out in a multidisciplinary and transversal context, including both Spanish Oncology team, the IQVIA Global Oncology team and other related teams (Real World Evidence team, Consulting team, Healthcare team…)

Skills & Qualifications

·        Master’s/Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); preferably in Healthcare, Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology…

·        Experience in healthcare system, pharmaceutical industry or life sciences projects, preferable in oncology

·        Client focus

·        Advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint

·        Advanced skills on data analysis and interpretation of results

·        Excellent project execution skills, consistently meeting deadlines

·        Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, defining priorities and delivering according to planned deadlines

·        Problem-solving skills for low/medium complexity projects

·        Creative and innovative skills

·        Good communication skills

·        Able to transmit professionalism and credibility to customers and stakeholders in low/medium complexity projects

·        High English level

·        It will be positively valued:

•        Clinical knowledge in oncology

•        Experience in Primary Market Research in Oncology

•        Experience in Real-World Data & Real-World Evidence in Oncology

•        Knowledge on statistics focused on health sciences
