First Shift: 5:00 am - 3:00 pm
Support the supervisor functions on the day-to-day activities of the blending department and personnel to meet established processing and quality-controlled standards
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily:
- Provide production Schedule for all blending leads / pre-weigh / pre-stage
- Hand out job assignments to each operator
- Check loft Inventory
- Ensure all packaging lines have product when needed
- Monitor blending and pre-weigh to ensure accuracy and validate wet wash/ sugar wash accuracy. Check for allergen blending requirements.
- Print blend sheets
- Ensure rework is being added
- Keep area organized and clean
- Monitor equipment
- Set up the next shift with the necessary materials
- Enforce GMP’s and safety procedures
- Investigate non-conformances
- Work with the Supervisor to hold Associates/Employees accountable to quality, safety, efficiencies and production
- Delegate product/work flow to maximize efficiencies
Weekly:
- All partial raw materials are put away from preweigh
- Hold department meeting
Occasional, Infrequent:
- Physical inventory
- Back up for off shift Supervisor
- Performance reviews
Requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- On average able to lift 50#
- 90% of the day spent on the production floor
- Temperature controlled environment
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proficient on personal computers
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities
- Ability to implement change
- Ability to motivate others and encourage “TEAM” development
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
- Forklift Driver is a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School/GED
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years in manufacturing/food processing/Blending experience
