JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is fully remote.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing various duties related to the completion of timely and accurate monthly financial statements for The University of Vermont Medical Center and related entities, including reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts. They will record transactions for designated sections of The University of Vermont Medical Center financial statements. They may also be assigned the accounting for an entire related entity. They are also responsible for providing support to the financial specialists, senior and lead accountants and department managers, as well as providing backup for other staff accountants as needed.
EDUCATION:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and/or would consider an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field combined with related work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience required if individual possesses a four-year Accounting degree.
