About the role
Description
- Underwrite new deals and annual review/financial analysis of existing borrows.
- Prepare quarterly problem asset reports and risk rating changes.
- Direct contact with borrower for collection of financial reporting and discussion of performance.
- Negotiate with borrower, lenders, and other stakeholder to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Assist with the development and implementation of problem loan strategies as needed to maximize recoveries and minimize losses.
- All employees are responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and in some roles, OFAC regulations. Depending on your job responsibilities, more or less aspects of the regulations may apply, but at a minimum, all employees are responsible for reporting suspicious activity they identify in the course of performing their job duties. This includes activities conducted by customers, fellow employees, board members, and vendors.
Requirements
- Candidate must have SBA experience and familiarity with the SOP.
- Well-developed analytical skills with experience underwriting SBA and/or conventional C&I credit with the ability to prepare analysis addressing financial condition, operating performance, and cash flow.
- Workout experience a plus, but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. This position will require frequent interaction with borrower and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft office programs.
- Familiarity with Abrigo/Sageworks a plus, but not required.
Education
- Bachelors' degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in SBA, banking, or business services.
This position will be based in one of our CT offices or Jacksonville, FL with a hybrid work option.
