About the role

Essential Functions:

Innovates the Circle K brand through strategic problem-solving efforts related to our Fresh Food Fast initiatives. Collaborate with Marketing team, BU leadership, store leadership, and subject matter experts to ensure training materials are effective, current, relevant, and compatible with Company policies and standards to maximize future growth of the food category. Leads a team of Quality Food Trainers to develop, maintain, train, and ensure adherence to all formal operational processes and procedures related to FFF. Integrates standards that promote operational adherence to and continual improvement of food safety and HACCP standards. Ensures operational compliance with requirements by monitoring and adherence to policies and procedures, and governmental regulations; advises Operations of needed actions. Provides Food Safety Management Certification (ServSafe) training and testing for Store Managers and other identified store and field employees within the BU. Cultivates a safe and secure working environment through the implementation of safety practices, providing information and training. Maintains project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems. Monitors and communicates progress related to all FFF deliverables. Monitors, evaluates and records training activities and programs effectiveness and makes recommendation for adjustments. Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive Developments, to the Food Category Marketing team, Marketing Director and VP. Maximizes store sales by directing and assisting Operations with merchandising programs, providing information and recapping promotional activities. Utilizes a variety of reports to conduct training needs assessments, schedules and evaluates results and reports back to Operations regarding outcomes and makes recommendations for improvements. Assists team members toward achieving financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action. Performs multiple tasks in fast paced and detail-oriented environment. Provides effective communication to Operations, development team and others involved with the implementation of FFF programs and projects. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Responds to all inquiries related to assigned projects promptly. Performs other duties as assigned, which are likely to vary over time. Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.  Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Preferred 3-5 years of retail/food-service management experience. Experience in food program creation and implementation of significant scale. Must demonstrate strong leadership ability, good communication skills, be self-directed and have a “continuous improvement” mindset. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to create P&L structure, calculate the ROI of projects with substantial complexity. Food Safety and HACCP operational skills. SERVSAFE® Manager Certified. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred project management experience in a c-store/marketing/or food service environment. Experience with the implementation and quality assurance of food service operations. A current valid driver’s license is required to operate a company vehicle.
