The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking a Temporary Academic Support Assistant. The Temporary Academic Support Assistant is essential to provide consistent and reliable assistance with primary note-taking during lectures, meetings, and instructional sessions for the instructor. These tasks ensure the instructor has ready access to instructional information in formats needed. Please see below for information about the schedule for this role:

GEXTH-6102-V02 Professional Ethics (In-Person Lecture)
Summer Term 1 - Monday 5/12/25 — Sunday 7/6/25
Weekend 1: Friday 5/30 (8 hrs), Saturday 5/31 (8 hrs) and Sunday 6/1 (8 hrs)
Weekend 2: Friday 6/27 (8 hrs), Saturday 6/28 (8 hrs) and Sunday 6/29 (8 hrs)

GWKSP-6105-LR01 Examining PPO (In-Person Lecture)
Summer Term 2 - Monday 7/7/25 - 8/31/25
Wednesday 7/16 (4 hrs), Thursday 7/17 (8 hrs) and Friday 7/18 (8 hrs)

The Temporary Academic Support Assistant should be available for consultation hour(s) prior to and after the assignment.

Qualities and Capabilities
A successful candidate will have:

  • The Temporary Academic Support Assistant will be present for the full duration of the in-person teaching hours.

  • The Temporary Academic Support Assistant would be expected to transcribe instructional materials into accessible formats and manage administrative tasks, such as organizing course-related documents (teaching slides, course readings, course resources) and maintaining clear records.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; typing

  • Strong organization and record-keeping skills
