What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will collect, transform, integrate, and analyze data to identify trends, assess performance, develop visualizations in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for financial management and information technology programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accessing data sources, establishing data connections, and pre-processing data for analysis
Aggregate, clean and organize datasets from disparate sources and perform quality assurance of these tasks
Ensuring data governance and quality assurance standards are met
Leading design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics that communicate findings, trends, and indicators to senior leaders using Tableau
Strategize, direct and conduct data and statistical analysis to identify key performance indicators and meaningful insights
Organizing and supporting client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items
Delivery of client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development
What You Will Need:
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust
Bachelor's degree is required
ONE (1) or more years of data experience
Experience in performing data analytics to address management and operational challenges
Proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Qlik
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Experience in commercial or public sector consulting firms
Prior experience supporting federal finance organizations
Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python, or Databricks
Proficiency in creating artificial intelligence/machine learning models
Proficiency in AWS software including AWS Sagemaker, Kendra, Glue, RDS, Athena, Aurora, and/or Bedrock
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills
