Insurance Authorization Specialist-Temp (FlexStaff)

FlexStaff is hiring a temporary Insurance Authorization Specialist to work with our client. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Pay Rate: $20-25/hour dependent upon experience 

• Obtain insurance verification for surgeries
• Confirm if pre-authorization is needed
• Confirm with physician office to obtain pre-authorization if needed 
• Calculate the patient’s expected payment at time of surgery (copay, deductible, coinsurance etc.)
• Call patient at least 72 hours in advance of their expected payment at the time of surgery

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required. 
• 0-1 year administrative experience, required.   
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
