Regional Vice President, Client Accounts

Skilljar is seeking a Regional Vice President, Client Accounts to lead our fast-growing Client Account team. In this role, you'll lead the charge in cultivating executive relationships and ensuring alignment between Skilljar and our valued clients. Guiding our Client Account Executives, you'll engage and strategize with accounts ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, with a primary focus on Mid-Market+ clients.

What You'll Do:
- Identify, cultivate, and close expansion opportunities to achieve Net Revenue Retention (NRR) targets.
- Strategically mitigate churn risks on accounts through alignment of goals, initiatives and accurately forecasting renewals a minimum of 4 quarters out.
- Develop and sustain strong executive-level relationships with key client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions, account reviews, and customer concerns to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
- Advise the strategy and design of the CAE organization, processes, and best practices for each customer segment.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including client success, finance, and product teams, to ensure alignment and achieve customer outcomes.
- Identify talent needs, define job requirements, and assist in the selection of candidates for open positions within the team.
- Mentor and develop Client Account Executives to maximize their performance and growth.

What You'll Bring to Skilljar:
- 3-5+ years of management experience – including at least five years heading a successful expansion oriented organization in an enterprise software environment.
- Experience managing and negotiating a wide range of customer accounts, from SMB ($20K ACV) to enterprise ($1M ACV).
- Shown success exceeding both expansion and retention targets
- Proven track record to build strategic and operating plans for an Account Management department for long-term scale to include defining and optimizing processes.
- US work authorization and criminal background check are required.
How We Approach Compensation:
We strive for salary range transparency in our hiring process. This is a major step towards not only following state and local regulations where required, but also to make sure Skilljar is putting pay equity and DEIB top of mind during the hiring process. Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a new hire equity grant in the form of stock options.
Base Salary Range: $161,800-192,000, dependent on location
