2nd Shift Department Lead Person - Parts Prep

Job Summary

The Department Leadperson is responsible for providing work direction and training to production employees in assigned work areas to safely achieve the desired output of quality parts and/or finished products as scheduled. Provides technical assistance and problem-solving support on day-to-day production matters.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordinates the proper coverage, goal achievement and completeness of jobs in and out of the department on a daily basis.
2. Informs department Manager of people management issues and identifies the resources needed to consistently meet the production schedule.
3. Eliminates non-productive efforts with equipment and personnel and assists in maintaining and improving methods and equipment.
4. Assists in assuring proper observation of company policies and assists in building employee morale.
5. Establishes and maintains good housekeeping.
6. Coordinates and manages area in absence of Manager.
7. Participates and contributes to a work team environment and follow quality control checks.
8. Follows all Safety Rules and contributes to a safe work environment.

Grade Level: T8

Requirements

Preferred Skills:

• Planning
• Interpersonal Communication
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
