This is a non-union positionThe primary focus of this role is to build broad and/or deeper senior technical expertise within the Regions by directly leading the work of a small team (2) in the coordination and implementation of the operations training, employee competency and Operator Qualification Program in their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, the coordination of training activities related to technical competencies. Collectively, the Technical Training group supports the development and continual growth of a knowledgeable, skilled, team-oriented workforce. This lead position will be instrumental in ensuring Regional standardization of activities and tracking of continuous training development improvement measures.

What You Will Do:
Manage the creation, review, update, and approval of all training material/curriculum competencies mapped to the Region client group.
Lead and/or participate in Competency Assurance activities for Region client group staff, including the implementation of the Administration Training Learning and Evaluation Processes.
Ensure current, accurate and complete training and competency records for Region staff are maintained and stored in compliance with the Enbridge Records Management Policy.
Execute comprehensive internal assessment, annual review, and compliance verification activities designed to validate that Region training processes are: being followed; aligned with client group department plans; in compliance with internal and external requirements; and effectively achieving their purpose.
Lead the development and execution of Regional client and partner engagement strategies.
Lead in the development and continuous improvement of Operations Training Program documentation and guidance material.
Lead continual program improvement through peer reviews and the GT Management of Change (MOC) Process.
Lead in fostering a work environment that values continuous improvement, champions change, and encourages collaboration and teamwork.
Lead the development of training programs and materials that foster the culture of individual self-control required to form the foundation of a high performance organization.
Monitor Regional training progress and create meaningful metric tracking reports for management review.
Makes responsible decisions not usually subject to technical review, on all matters assigned, except those involving large sums of money or long‐range objectives.
Build training FAQs to and research best practices for potential adoption and enhancements to current training processes.
Lead and/or participate on internal/external committees (i.e. regional committees, industry meeting) as required.
Facilitate training, awareness and engagement sessions as required to support the implementation and execution of training programs within the region
Establish and maintain strong relationships with client group and other stakeholder and support groups.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
Related university degree and seven‐plus years experience OR ten‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
Strong written or verbal communication skills aimed at technical and non‐technical audiences. Execute technical and/or business analysis or "making a case" for the expenditure of significant resources, as needed.
Demonstrate broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems, project management, identifying opportunities and has a keen awareness of interrelationships with other stakeholders.
