The Role
Responsible for optimizing the USTA Coaching membership experience to drive coach membership engagement, retention, and long-term value for coaches. This role will develop and execute strategies to enhance coach membership benefits, personalize the member journey, and ensure that every coach—whether a seasoned professional, community coach, parent, or volunteer—feels supported and empowered within the USTA Coaching ecosystem.
Membership Experience & Retention Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive membership experience strategy focused on coach retention, satisfaction, and long-term engagement.
- Analyze feedback, behavioral data, and industry trends to refine membership offerings and improve overall satisfaction.
- Design and oversee a personalized member journey, ensuring coaches receive relevant content, resources, and benefits based on their experience level, coaching goals, and needs.
Membership Benefits & Value Proposition
- Oversee the development and execution of on-court and off-court benefits for coaches.
- Work closely with strategic partners to enhance the perks of being in the USTA Coaching ecosystem, ensuring USTA Coaching delivers unmatched value in the industry.
- Lead the continuous evaluation and improvement of benefits to align with coach needs and market trends.
Coach Engagement & Community Building
- Foster a thriving coach community through mentorship programs, networking events, and discussion forums within the USTA Coaching Hub.
- Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to create compelling content and campaigns that keep coaches engaged with USTA Coaching.
- Support the development of in-person and virtual events, including summits, webinars, and regional training workshops, that add value to membership.
Operational & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with the education team to align USTA Coaching membership and affinity benefits with coach development pathways.
- Work with the digital and product teams to optimize the coaching platform, ensuring seamless access to benefits and engagement tools.
- Lead retention-focused initiatives, including personalized outreach, loyalty programs, and coach appreciation efforts.
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for coaching membership experience initiatives
Who You Are
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in recruitment, sports organization, marketing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Knowledge: Passion for racquet sports and an understanding of the coaching or sports industry is a plus.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think long-term and strategically, while managing day-to-day execution.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey a clear brand message.
- Digital Proficiency: Experience with digital marketing, content creation, and social media management.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze brand performance data and adapt strategies based on insights.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management or equivalent experience.
- Outstanding organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly.
- Proficient meeting minute-taking and transcription skills are a must.
