As a Controls Engineer in Texarkana, TX, you’ll design, program, and optimize PLCs, machine controls, and automated systems that keep production lines running smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will ensure maximum uptime, throughput, and reliability—directly impacting performance across critical operations.
We’re looking for someone with an engineering degree, 2+ years of experience minimum, and proven skills in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs. Strong problem-solving ability and a passion for improving systems are essential to thrive in this role. As the Controls Engineer, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Design, build, and modify electronic equipment and systems such as PLCs, automated machinery, and machine controls systems applying principles and theories of Electrical Engineering.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and program automated equipment. Document solutions and provide technical controls support across the installation.
  • Work in close support with process owners to design, build and maintain user friendly controls and equipment to increase production line uptime, product throughput and reduce scrap through automation.
  • Find solutions to better utilize the existing equipment and tools to improve throughput. Reduce downtime by identifying and resolving issues in the production process and equipment.
  • Limited scope of project management.
  • Direct the work of maintenance personnel and outside services.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and complex diagrams. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
  • Must have ability to specify and build control systems. Knowledge in PLC or other automated systems; which include but not limited to Allen Bradley and Siemens. SCADA experience desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties simultaneously. Apply logical thinking to determine root cause of problems with automated processes.
  • Ability with interfacing and integrating multiple systems and platforms in automated processes.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field; prefer Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineer or Automation focus.
  • 2+ years of relevant Engineering experience minimum.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, NESC.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Software.
  • Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant drivers license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant.
  • Government Secret Clearance may be required.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Great attitude and team player.


In compliance with this states pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $76,080 - $140,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
