Sr Manufacturing Systems Engineer

 

Twist is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to participate in the  development, deployment, and optimization of oligo synthesis systems. The qualified engineer will join an accomplished engineering team that has deployed and operated complex instrumentation for synthesizing high-throughput DNA products.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with operations team to resolve production equipment and system issues
• Lead documentation, knowledge transfer and training activities for all engineering systems
• Manage all communication with external vendors and internal Twist customers
• Recommend and develop new processes and technologies to achieve produce cost effectiveness and quality
• Develop P&ID designs, specifying fluidic components and resolving material compatibility issues 

Requirements:

• BS, MS preferred, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in biotech or related field
• Direct experience building and troubleshooting production fluidic systems
• Capable of effectively working with Mechanical Engineers and directing technicians
