JOB TITLE:
Lecturer,Asst - Didactic & Clinical
JOB PURPOSE:
Teach face-to-face didactic, clinical, and on-line courses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Lecturer will be responsible for teaching in the undergraduate program in the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching in face-to-face didactic, clinical, and on-line courses. Additional responsibilities include career advising to students; service to school, college and profession; and professional development.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in Wyoming
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or more years of acute care clinical experience
- Two or more years of teaching experience in nursing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds in academic and clinical settings
- Experience in rural healthcare education and practice
- Commitment to working in a culturally diverse environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, vendors and community members from diverse backgrounds.
