Principle Purpose of Job

As the Restaurant Manager of Ranch House Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in leading our food and beverage operation to new heights of excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development and implementation of strategies that align with our brand's vision and ensure the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our discerning guests. From crafting innovative promotions and menu offerings to managing day-to-day operations, your leadership will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and maximizing the financial performance of the restaurant.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute promotions, menu enhancements, and wine pairings to enhance the dining experience.
  • Align food and beverage strategies with the resort's overall business objectives, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Foster a culture of communication and collaboration among the food and beverage team through regular meetings and briefings.
  • Monitor staffing levels to meet guest service standards and operational needs, offering feedback and support as required.
  • Set clear expectations for service excellence and ensure team accountability for exceptional guest experiences.
  • Review financial reports to assess restaurant performance against budget targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with cash and liquor control policies to maintain profitability and high service standards.
  • Lead recruitment and selection for food and beverage leadership positions, seeking candidates who embody expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide ongoing training to empower team members for success.
  • Uphold property policies and procedures, ensuring fair and consistent administration and compliance with regulations.
  • This position may include other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred, but not required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Proven experience in restaurant management, with a track record of success in leading high-performing teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu development, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Knowledge of Resort Suite PMS (or other property management system) helpful.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills (written and verbal), particularly in resolving guest issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Trustworthiness in handling confidential information and working with minimal supervision.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality, enjoying interactions with the public.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.


Compensation Description:

$65,000 – $75,000/yr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.
