Finance Assistant - FTC

Full Time, 37 Hours, 12 months FTC 

£20900 + Benefits

 

 

Seco works in strategic Partnership with Lincoln County Council, we are responsible for a wide range of customer-facing and back-office functions including finance, HR and ICT, and for the Council's customer services operations.

 

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator on a one year fixed term contract to ensure the effective management of property and finance matters on behalf of service users where LCC is the nominated Deputy or Appointee.

 

• Assist with the administration of Court of Protection and Appointee cases on behalf of the nominated Deputy/Appointee for Lincolnshire CC
• To be responsible for managing an allocated caseload from new referral through to day to day maintenance referring to the Deputy/Adult Care workers where required for authorisations.
• To ensure that all entitlements to benefits and other income is correctly managed and claimed on behalf of the service user, seeking professional advice where appropriate.
• To complete the reconciliation and updating of client bank accounts using excel spreadsheets.

 

 

 

 

What you’ll need to do the role

 

• A basic understanding of financial procedures
• One year experience of working in a financial environment
• Experience of using computerised financial systems
• Experience of prioritising own work to achieve performance targets and deadlines
• Experience of communicating effectively with customers and colleagues at different levels and adapting communication style as appropriate
• Ability to process data to deadlines whilst achieving a high level of accuracy
• Good communications and customer care skills
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word
