About the role

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join our team. The Material Coordinator will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, ensuring timely availability for production or project needs, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate with multiple departments, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure timely availability for production or project schedules. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy. 
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to forecast material needs and resolve shortages or delays. 
  • Track and report on material usage, availability, and lead times to support operational efficiency. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during material handling and storage. 
  • Prepare and process documentation, including purchase orders, shipping/receiving reports, and inventory adjustments. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve material flow processes and reduce waste. 
  • Assist in resolving supplier issues and expediting deliveries as needed. 

Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required
  •  2+ years of experience in material coordination, inventory management, or a similar role. 
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc)
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 
  •  Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and material handling best practices is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, metal stud framing or HVAC parts and pieces is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a warehouse environment as needed.

Hourly Wage: $25/hour - $35/hour DOE
